Zhang Kai, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Petroleum Engineering, China University of Petroleum (East China), winner of the 2017 National Natural Science Foundation of China Outstanding Youth Science Fund, 2018 Shandong Province Outstanding Youth Fund winner, Sun Yueqi Youth Science and Technology Award winner, Shandong Taishan Scholar Distinguished Professor . He is currently the deputy director of the Youth Committee of the Seepage Mechanics Professional Group of the Chinese Society of Mechanics, a member of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Petroleum Society, the deputy chairman of the Shandong Association of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, and an editorial board member of the Journal of China University of Petroleum (Natural Science Edition). He has long been engaged in theoretical and applied research on theories and methods of intelligent oilfield development, presided over more than 40 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Oil and Gas Major Projects, 863 Projects, Provincial and Ministerial Major Projects and Horizontal Projects. He has published more than 100 papers in the field of artificial intelligence and petroleum engineering, including more than 40 papers included in SCI, won 2 first prizes and 3 second prizes for provincial and ministerial scientific and technological progress, and wrote 2 books.
